View Full Version : removing ISO grips
Is there any good ways to remove the Kury ISO grips and still be able to reuse them? BTW they were installed using grip tape.
Will be putting R bars on my C, has anybody done this using Aeromach 6" risers instead of the stock risers?

You will probably need to replace the rubber insert. I hear of people taking something thin and working their way around the bar and the rubber insert to remove.

Could probably use WD40 like you would on the stockers. Wiggle it back and forth, might come free. How about a feeler gauge that you don't need?

If you used the Kury glue, the only way I've found is to use something long and thin, like a hacksaw blade or the 12" SnapOn feeler guage. Sharpen one end of it, and push it between the rubber insert and the bar, you'll have to basically cut the rubber away from the glue, no other way to do it. If you used other grip glues, some other methods may work (like spraying WD40 or acetone in between the rubber and the bar), just watch out for dripping the stuff onto any paint.

Heard from some that using a air compressor help loosen them, Also may try a heat gun just be careful not to melt the plastic. Let us know what u do.
