It might be a loose wire on the hot side or the ground side. Give it time to dry out before you go hunting. A service manual and a multimeter comes in handy chasing such issues. Good luck

ok so I have run the electrical system and thought i had it figured out. the ground was loose at the battery, took it out for a ride and it started again... the Neutral park switch tests good I pulled the gauge cluster to check the LED side. and it looks to be fine wiggled and grouped the light green wire all the way back to the switch. and nothing no rips or crimps or cracks there dosnt appear to be any impact to the operation of the bike. also when at stop regardless of gear the light remains solid on. which has caused a couple of embarssing starts.....
