hi guys
well heres the deal ive only had the bike a week and in the mornings on warm up i get some popping thru my exhaust and sometimes on the hwy . not real loud just a pop pop . the bike does have hard chrome double d drag pipes on it . sounds awesome btw just wondering if maybe its the pipes i havent checked the plugs yet i keep forgetting the new ones at work . i figure its gotta be one of those two things , pipes or plugs .
lemme know wht ya think

if the pair valve wasn't taken out then you have the fresh air injected into the pipes to burn off all the gas.
if it was removed then you might need to adjust the A/F screw a hair out and make a bit richer.

Stock bikes run very lean from factory, putting on free breething pipes make it even leaner. I would suggest a jet kit.

I agree with Charlie D...but with after market pipes you will probably still have little pops from back pressure release.

the pair valve is still there , the pipes are slip ons . so im betting its the pipes cuz the pops are oh so tiny and on the hwy maybe a cpl a mile but never any pops when backing off the throttle it rumbles down real nice thinking i should maybe richen er up just a hair but went on one of the links here and it said i need to remove fuel tank and other things just to get to carb ... is that right?

well you have to get to the bottom of the card behind the float bowl, there is a recess and a D shape screw that would need to be turned out around a 1/4 turn to make it richer.
first thing is check your plugs if they are light brown you are good and it would be the pair valve that needs to be removed to reduce the popping.
