To start out I just bought my 1800N last weekend, I love it much better than my 750 shadow. Along with the bike I purchased Cobra speedster straight cut shorts, Power Commander III USB, and a K&N. I don’t plan on installing these parts until after I break the engine in. My question at hand is that when I install these parts how should I set up the PCIII. Do I use a map off of the website or should I put it on a dyno? Also any other mods would be helpful (cheaper the better). Any opinions welcome.

Thanks,

My advise is return the power commander and buy a B&B computer. It's a true closed loop system that'll compensate for all your performance modes without having to fool with maps. Fantastic power and MPG

Have had alot of fun on my 750 Shadow, but hopefully trading it in on a 1800 tomorrow. :icon_danc Sorry I haven't any suggestions for you, but was wondering about your comparison of the two? I haven't got to sit on one yet, but have seen on here that it is a really good choice. Again sorry this is not about your post, but your thoughts would be appreciated.

after i totaled my 750 aero i upgraded to the 1800 N. its night and day difference. first off you are going to hate the seat height. i bought an extra seat off ebay and shaved the foam down, that lowered me about 2 inches. the stock bike is deceptively quiet, the power difference is incredible and can be startleing at first, take it easy for a while. check out some of my pics, i am constantly looking for something else to mod. http://www.vtxcafe.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=12463

You have to have a exhaust bung welded on for a B&B, right? For it to get its info, correct me if I'm wrong. enlighten me, I know nothing about the B&B.:hmm2:

Vance and Hines Bigshots already have an O2 sensor port.
