My wife has been working on a charity project to build two parks in the Charlotte area to honor to police officers who were shot in the line duty back on April 1st. They are going to be having a charity ride on 9/15 leaving from one of the parks in Locust, NC and ending at Quaker State in Concord, NC.

I just wanted to extend the invite in case anyone was interested.

Information about the ride and the registration form are located here: http://charlotteride.org

Thanks ... It's been a long time - hope to see some of you guys out there.

Hey Don, long time!

Here is a site I was just sent, sounds like it might be related. I should be able to make this ride, please keep us updated.

Nah - that petition is something different. That is trying to get a park in Charlotte named in their honor.

These parks were started in their honor shortly after their deaths by the Ace & TJ show on Kiss 95.1 and the towns the Officers lived in. The one currently underway (where the ride starts) is for Officer Shelton and is in Locust near NC-200 and NC-24/27. Work on the other park for Officer Clark starts in September and that park is in Iron Station.

I know they are always looking for volunteers on Saturdays to help work at Locust park too if anyone is interested contact my wife (mkukral7@yahoo.com) for more details.

Hope you can make it out there.
