Fall beach ride...let's start planning now. :)

Ok, so let's plan now.

I have heard talk about meeting at Myrtle Beach during bike week October 3-7th. I'm not too crazy about staying there too long so I may ride the first of the week down the outer banks or after bike week ride up the NC outer banks.

So, anyone have any suggestions or ideas about a fall beach ride?

Also....we need to have a fall mountian ride. ;)

Heading out to Ashville from Greensboro this weekend (9/8), probably camp with the family (they are taking the car) somewhere in Brevard or the KOA in Cherokee.

I don't know what to do about the beach ride...I'tls like 11-12 hours from here to the outerbanks taking Hwy 17 according to your google map...8 or 9 from Myrtle Beach...and 17 is a long boring road with no beach/ocean in sight except for passing thru M beach and outerbanks...lol....I spent a couple hours the other night trying to figure out something...I gave up...no other way shorter unless you ride the interstate all the way..and thats just way toooooo far for me to ride home on sunday. So I am open for Ideas...Help...lol...I know you don't care for myrtle beach too much...we usually just go for friday and sat night and come home sunday. The beach/whatever ride does not have to be that weekend....I just said Billy and usually go at least one weekend, didn't mean we had to make the ride that weekend. Guess we all need to throw some ideas out there and see what our options are...or you can just plan it...:) lol..BB :p

I'm thinking about staying in MB Friday and Saturday night and coming back on Sunday. I don't know if it's "my thing" or not...I've never been to a bike week before. Should be some good people watching. Tina has already said that she is not going. Looks like im flying solo on this one.
Boop has a good point about the Outer Banks...That's a freakin long way from here.
I've heard the ride from MB to Charleston on 17 is pretty nice.

As for a fall moutain ride...I'm all for it. I would like to do the parkway from Boone to Cherokee. Thats about 220 miles.

Well, my father-in-law just sold their farm in West Va and we will be up there moving them Oct 5th thru the 7th....so no beach from us. :(

We still want to do a beach ride or somewhere ride but for this weekend we are riding to West Va....hoping to be riding the bike uo there too!

Let's do a Parkway ride the next weekend. Maybe October 13-14?? It should be really nice and cool by then.
