Ok, so I have a 2007 1300 R. I have the kit for the 07 with covered forks, and the windshield is supposed to have a 9" cutout. I have the mounting kit on the bike, went to put the windshield on, and it seems like it is too wide, so I measure it, the cutout actually measured like 9.75. From mounting bracket on the windshield to the other one measures like 10" I can get the throttle side on the bike, but then it is like I almost have to try and bend it to get the clutch side on.....Is this right? Or do I have the wrong windshield?

I had to flex mine some to get it on. There was a post recently(yesterday I believe) about this. They contacted them and they sent another one with a return lable for the one he had. Said the shield was not curved properly I believe it was. Do a search for the last few days or just flex it to get it in if you feel like takeing the chance.

I got it in, it required loosening up the bracket that bolts up to the lower triple tree fork cover.....whew, I was a little worried about cracking it in half to say the least, thanks for the input though!

I always have to "flex" mine just a little to get it to line up right on my R. It's pretty normal to get things to line up properly.
