It looks like the organizer (Cliff) is already hard at work making plans for the VTX Ride-in-July of 2008 (http://coloradovtxrangeriders.com/rideinjuly/rideinjuly.htm). I have heard lots of story's about the fun times and the great rides, but never really took part in this festivity. I will definately be there in 2008 and just curious to see if any one here is planning to attend too?

Hey IslanderX, how's it going? I had no idea you frequented this board. I don't have much time to check in often but it was a surprise to see you.
Glad to hear you will be joining us this year. All the stories you have heard are true, even the story behind door 137. It's about time you find out for yourself.
We have some great rides instore for this year. No doubts the 08 ride will be talked about until 09. :drunk: If you like to ride and have fun, this is the place to be in July.

Martin1330c, we have some good friends that join us each year from Cheyenne. In fact, Mutt will come down and ride with us three or four times a year just cause we are such good people.
If you're looking to meet and ride with some people up there contact me off line and I'll get you his email address.
Hope we see you, and don't forget to register, it really helps us to manage the rides knowing how many to expect.

JamesYour kid is more than welcome to join us. He / she won't be out of place at all.
We will probably have a group meeting place set up for the Brass Monkey, and then ride over to the bar as a group to stage. If we meet at the bar it's hard to stay together. We should have details posted as soon as we find out who all is riding.
Islander, any southern riders heading north?

I might not be able to make it due to work. Not sure if the rest of the southern riders from CS or Pueblo are going.

We're gonna miss ya this weekend, what say we take a ride over Trail Ridge today? Shouldn't be too bad, I think they only got 4 feet of snow...

Some of us don't need no stinking ski strapped to the front tire. LOL This is PolarX in a kilt no less proving his point.

Studs? Not that I know of, only stud is PolarX the rider. LOL
One morning on our local message board they were fussing about the roads and not being able to ride. Polar had the wife take the pics as he went around the block and told the rest of us we were a bunch of Whiners!
Here is what he does when not riding the VTX... #915

Check out this gallery, the one on the ground is PolarX. One of the other riders lost control and took him out. Race Day in April (http://coloradovtxrangeriders.com/photogallery/070428polarxracing/polarxracing.htm)
Did you ride with any VTX'ers in GA? Not sure where you were exactly but we know some of the GA Riders. Murph, Scarecrow, PogoGolf and few others. Great bunch of guys, met them here at our July Event.
I received your registration for the Ride... thanks, we look forward to riding with you.

Actually, I am from Rock Springs, WY. I have been down in Augusta, GA for an extended stay and decided to bring the bike down with me. I haven't hooked up with any of the Georgia X riders yet. Never seem to be in the right area at the right time due to my schedule here. Anywho, I plan on spending lots of time riding in CO when I get home because my part of WY is pretty dull to ride in.

Carol has hit a road block with the 2007 Ride in July Slideshow, and we would love to finish it off. Your help is needed.
If any of you fine folks took the Ride and Raft Ride and you have ANY pictures from the ride, please email them to us at vtx2up@aol.com (vtx2up@aol.com)
We have no pics for that ride at all, so anything from the ride, lunch or raft would be appreciated.
And for a quick update, last week we purchased 75 tickets for the Rockies baseball and fireworks game once again. Perfect seats to see the game and show. They are the same seats we had last year.
I am meeting with the GM from the La Quinta motel next week and we will get our group rates locked in. I don't expect them to be much higher than last year.
We have the Trail Dust Steakhouse locked in once again for our Meet and Greet. Buffet style or for those with dietary needs like Spike, order off the menu. Price and food items should be locked in next week as well.
We have 3 completely new rides added to the ride selection for 2008. We are working hard to offer more activities and some different riding to keep it new. Details released after 1/19
Yes, we have more but before I release any details we want to make sure we can deliver.
If you haven't decided what you're doing in July, no worries, Join us in Colorado, we'll make it worth your while.
Register for the ride from our Event Page here. (http://coloradovtxrangeriders.com/rideinjuly/rideinjuly.htm)
See you all soon
