I know it is late in the year for a ride but if the weather warms up may I suggest a route?
Take the loop around the Red River Gorge and then go past Natural Bridge State Park and keep going to Beattyville. From Beattyville take Highway 52 to Irvine. From Irvine you can go either to Winchester on Hwy 89 or take Hwy 52 to Richmond. The road from Beattyville to Irvine is excellent....watch out for the crotch rockets.
