Cleaning Exhaust Pipes

I had my bike running and a rag fell onto one of the hot pipes. Evidently had some nylon or something in it and now I have melted pieces on my pipes. Was wondering what I could use to clean these without scarring the great looking pipes for life. The pipes are the 2-into-1 sideburners. Thanks

try easy off oven spray. leave it on for a few then wipe off. follow with water and wax. protect your paint!!!!!!!

the guy i bought my x from put the cover on too early one night after a ride and melted part of the cover on there... i took a razor blade and scraped it off when cool, then took some grey steel wool to the remnants, and a little polish after that. good as new.
