Hi folks,

Probably going to pickup a Garmin c340 and want to mount it on the handlebar. I 've seen Ram mounts, which offer many options, but was wondering what others are using to mount their GPS units.

I haven't jumped in to get a mount for my GPS yet (Garmin GPS Map 60 cxi - or something like that), but my brother has a RAM mount on his bike for his GPS (same thing) and loves it. It's very adjustable and has hardware to place the GPS either close to the handlebar, or up to several inches away. He has no complaints about his.

+1 for Ram Mounts. I have one for my Garvin Nuvi 650 and it's fantastic!!!

Great price, highly recommend 'em.

:patriot: Got a Navigon 7100 for Christmas and used a Ram mount mount it with. Worked great on trip to Tampa and you can take the GPS off in seconds for security.

I use a Ram Mount also... love it... just make sure you check the tightness of the thumb screw that holds the bracket after each ride... it has a tendancy to loosen up a bit now and then.

I just got an eCaddy Deluxe mount. It's not as adjustable as the Ram mounts, but I really liked the way it looked. I don't have any pictures of it mounted, but you can see it at the link below.

+ 1 goldsmith. RAM mount came in the box with my Zumo 500, and holds great. I do still have to run the power line, but the mount is nice!

I bought the cheap on that is affixed to the handlebar and has a bracket that is detachable. It's secure and cost less than the shipping (eBay).

have a C340 also and will be ordering a mount from ram mounts today. What height of mount is best for a vtx 1300. The standard 3 inch or the shorter 1 1/2 inch and has anyone ever added a cirgarette adaptor to the batt. for power for these GPS units? Looks like it takes mim. of three items. RAM HOL-GS, B-201 and B-231z is this correct? Thanks

I need to add the cigarette adaptor and two ram mounts (one for GPS and another for radar detector.)

I will look around the site and see if there are any useful threads.

Thats the same one i got except i got the 3 inch piece between the handlebar and cradle, I also ordered the camera mount - camera base only
so if i want to use a video camera i can use the same mount and just take
the Garmin 330 cradle of and put the camera mount on same and be good to go

I orderd from RAM and the order shipped from gpscity

I used it the other night with a Sony HD camera and it was awsome on my tv when i got home, only thing i didnt like was sometimes there would be a reflection in the windshield depending on the sun, but was able to also capture a pickup pulling right out in front of me, as far as shakes it didnt have any (well maybe just a little on a gravel road) I had to reach down and close the screen, kept catching myself wanting to look at the monitor (not good) gonna film the dragon next month in HD at NORMAL Speeds :)
