After getting the VTX I bought a Mustang 3-piece setup, not happy with the way it put me so far forward on the gas tank I fianlly got to ride a bike with the Ultimate seat. WOW, what a difference.

The Ultimate seat sat me further back and was a little softer. My wife seat was also a little wider and she loves the seat also. The back rest is the best thing about the seat...bad back for years now.

Excellent seat and while a little pricey well worth the money.

I've had mine for 2 years now. That seat and a pair of compression shorts and you can ride all day. Going on a 3000 mile ride starting next week. A couple 600 mile plus days and a couple of 500 miles days included. Wouldn't try it without the Ultimate seat.

I bought the Ultimate Low Rider for my 2003 1800 C. I love it. I am short at 5'4" and I can flat foot it with stock shocks. Long rides are a dream.

I like my Ultimate Big Boy, but wish it were narrower at the tank, ,otherwise it's good for all day.

I've had the low-rider for 2 yrs. They recommended for my inseam and wt, I get the big boy. They say the big boy is an inch taller and the low-rider pushes you forward an inch. I don't understand, why they would make a shorter riders seat higher.

Love the looks of the Ultimate. Being a female, would like the LowRider. Have been told that the seat will go flat if it gets wet and not dried out properly. Any of you had any experience in getting the Ultimate seat wet and drying it out?

I had the Ultimate on the 1300. Do they ever go on sale?

I think I want to get the 4 piece low rider. For my size and weight they recommend the big boy but that doesn't provide the extra back support I want. Would a 4 piece Mustang or Corbin be better? I'm a large fellow but my weight is mostly in my leg muscles so I don't have a large back side.

Chaz, I have the BigBoy with the back rest by and it is awsome. Not sure if that is what you maen by extra support...but I sit back in mine and relay. ;)

I couldn't agree more. This seat is great. I met the guy who sold me teh bike at a farm market and he got on it and couldn't belilieve how comfortable it is.
also because it moved my 6' 2" frame back and up I no longer am desparate for teh extension pegs :)

Big X, you've got the 1800 mine is the 1300r, there isn't an option for the extra back support on the Big Boy model. I've got the 34" inseam and at over 240+ lbs I suppose the low rider may not be a good fit.

Candy,

The seat will not and did not go flat when wet.

I have, and it has, been wet more times than I would have liked. LOL.

The only problem is, the water soaks through the seams and the foam gets wet. For the next few days, your jeans will help the foam dry. LOL

That's such a small price to pay for such a comfortable ride.

When I ride to work, the bike has to sit outside. If I think it's going to rain, I use my rain coat to protect the seats. I put the hood over the passenger backrest and slide the bottom of the jacket between the seat and the gas tank. It is pretty tight and causes the water to shed without getting the seats wet. Ultimate sells plastic seat covers, but they're way too expensive. My solution seems to work pretty well.
