Putting clearcoat on the engine after painting

I am abot half way into polishing my fins on my engine. I have read several write-ups about this and some have said clear coat after you are done to seal in the polish on the fins.

My concern is will the clear coat yellow or tarnish in time due to the heat? Never donw anything like this an don't want to screw anything up.

I used high heat engine clear coat. Got it at Advance

Yea, but my question is any concerns about it yellowing or pealing after a while?

nah, too much trouble. A little "never-dull" every now and then will do you. Ask your boy about "never-dull", he just got out of basic training, he'll know ALL about it! :-)

thats why I went with the high heat clear. Been on since Nov. and still clear
