Hello everyone,
My name is Ray and I reside in Chesterfield Va. Recently retire Marine of 24yrs., I currently work with Northrop Grumman defense contractor. I just purchased a 2004 1300 VTX and I'm very excited about the smooth ride this bike has. I sold a crouch rocket a few years ago and realized that nothing compares to the ride of a nice cruiser. Looking forward to joining a club soon, so if you know one nearby...let me know. Hope to ride with you soon, be safe!
Ray:cheers:

Welcome Ray! Retired Air Force here 23yrs. I am also a defense contractor working out of Hurlburt Field Fla. I found the best thing to do here is to read as many of the posts as possible, cause you will find that the VTX1300 is a very versitile motorcycle! Lots of add-ons and tricks and tips to make it all your own! Don't be afraid to ask any question, there are lots of great folks here and i'm sure any question you have will be answered with more technical expertise than any dealership could give ya!!

This is a great site, and your local group, that BubbaJeph has referred you to, the Virginia X-Riders, is a great group of guys/gals, and alot of fun. I am a member of the Maryland Xiles, and we do a lot of cross-over rides, get-togethers, etc...with the X-Riders.
The X-Rider's social director, Bulldog, hosts an annual party where we will possibley cross paths.
Welocme to the World of VTX cruisers. There's nothing like them.
And Thank You for your service to our Country! :patriot: You and the rest of the service men and women of the US Armed Forces do us proud, daily!
A greeting and welcome Ray. And as we say in my land....unha forte aperta (a strong hug).
