Mike - I saw in a forum that you had a set of black side covers for a 1300. Do you still have them? Thanks! Kelly

I have been getting mixed messages about tire pressure on my 2003 VTX 1300. The dealer told me 38 front and 40 rear. The plate on the bike gave me 33 and 36. I want to be sure I am using the correct pressure for tire wear , traction and safety. any input would be appreciated.

    Mike,
When I post on threads it doesn't seem to come up on "new posts" so obviously not many answers. My question is after reading and being a member of this site for months now I can't find a link for new threads (when I have a question).
I posted a thread on the sticky for "Download Service Manual"
I noticed that nobody really replies to these old threads and tried to Message jagarcia to find out how to post a new thread, but found that there is no reply to this same question about posting new threads when I try to look at his conversations of "posting a new thread".

    Please help!

This is a great site but seems to be dead, maybe I need to go to VTXOA to get current info. I hope not the people here just seem nicer!

    Thanks,

    imridin

well as I said before the link didn't work because of errors from THIS site. It would not post the link w/out appending it to vtxcafe's domain which is just weird. Perhaps it was just a random fluke that one time. Like I said, it should be something to look into from your end. If you want to delete the thread altogether I'll post again sometime in the next couple weeks with either a summary or I'll write the whole thing out. It's a bit involved so I didn't want to just unload....but writing a summary I'm sure would have been better.

First off, welcome to the Cafe. There isn't much that is taboo but the link in your post didn't work. As your first post it was a complaint that had no story. Complaints have some merit if the poster has some credit on this board but you had none so there was no way for anyone to take that post. I don't know how long the story is but just posting some of it will let people know what the problem is and gauge for themselves your problems and complaint. I had your post sent to me by a couple people asking me what was going on so I removed the problem. You are more then welcome to post, but especially with a complaint, make sure there are the facts included so it doesn't sound like a rant or sour grapes.

I'm sorry. Is there a particular subject that is taboo for a first post? I'm not sure what difference it makes that it was a complaint. If you care to look, I immediately posted elsewhere in the forum. I was unable to get rid of the extra tag the forum gave me to the website that I posted. The site is www.monarchhondasucks.com and the forum kept adding it to the end of www.vtxcafe.com/...That might be something to look into on your end. I'd be happy to post the entire story but I didn't want to look like I was trying to spam the site

I love hte Sideburners. I have been an advocate for them from teh beginning. most people of this board have them because they saw them on my bike. Do a search of my username and HK Sideburners and you will get a lot of information on sound. There are quit a few people here on teh Cafe that have them. If you like the rumble of a BIG BLOCK Chevy then you are going to love these SBs.

    Good afternoon,
I was wondering--how well do you like your HK Sideburners? Do you notice a difference in HP? I don't see too many of us wanting the "2-into-1" look, but I prefer it, and there aren't many pipes like that manufactured for our bike that I've seen. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
