OK All, here's a rediculous question that undoubtedly has a simple answer but, I can't seem to find the parts in question. Maybe it's my back, neck, or just one of my senior moments. Sometimes the brake light stays on after I have released the foot pedal. I burned out a bulb and noticed this happenening when stepping on the brake. If I tap it a time or two it goes out. I followed the lines, wires, etc. but, things got in the way like, the motorcycle. It's probably the brake switch. I can't find it. The return spring seems to have good tension, if there is one. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Blaster
I have the same problem, since my bike was ready for its first service I took it in, to have them look at the tail light issue and also fix the recall part on my bike, picking it up today, I'll let you know what I find out
You should be able to see the actuator switch. It will be a switch that touches the pedal and has a nut around it that can be moved to keep it on or release it until there is a large move. Adjust as needed.
This problem is on my 2006 1300C. I also have an 2002 1800C and like you said the link-up is different. By the way what recall? Will it affect my 2006 1300C?
