washed the bike, now it won't start

No problems at all prior to washing. However, used a pressure washer at motorcycle wash. I got about 500 away from the place before the bike died. I got it to fire up a couple times, but it would not last. My brother believes it will resolve itself ... any thoughts?

Those pressure washers are never a good idea for a motorcycle...Lots of exposed wiring and that...Your brother is probably right in that it will more than likely dry out and be fine....Pressure washers push water past bearing seals, and into wiring that's otherwise protected from the ocassional rain shower...

Try a hair blower on wires you can reach and keeping it in the garage if it's warmer. If it won'i start in a few days have it looked at.

The less water the better when cleaning your bike, and the quicker you get it dry the better

Yeah on the above. Also be careful about the air intake. We had a poster recently who was getting problems a couple/few days after washing.

You might want to pull off your air filter cover and see if your air filter has changed into a water filter. May need to be drained.

I just use low pressure from the hose to wash mine. After I'm done I use my air compressor to blow all the water out of the nooks and crannies.
