LED Driving Lights "on the cheap"

I bought qty 2 of these

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/222216883200...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I installed an on/off switch on the handlebar

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0195V8G4Q...GTK5OV2M&psc=1

I installed a fuse panel that I got from Advanced Auto for about $11

You need to get qty 4 longer stainless bolts for the lights

I installed them directly onto the stock light bar on the rubber section

I picked up some 14 awg wire ($8 at Lowes) and wired a positive and negative to the fuse panel and now can home run other items to the fuse panel as well

approx total cost including hardware and connectors about $68 and the lights are bright at night and visible by day.

Next up, under tank LEDs with an on/off switch and they too will be run to a fuse on that fuse panel

If I can ever get photos to upload I wold post pics

    For posting pics use photobucket:

    Upload the pic to photobucket
Click on the picture to enlarge it
On the right you will see some blocks of code
The bottom block is the image (img) code, copy it and then paste it into your reply text
And there you have it, the pic will appear like this (your pic of course),

How long did it take for delivery of the lights, from the day you ordered them

the buyer from whom I selected had them in stock, they were not drop shipped from China so I reckon about 4 days.

I then gathered up the materials and finally decided where I was going to mount them, and start to finish maybe 2 hours at most from the time I walked into the garage to begin.

Should you choose this path, be warned about the switch. It comes with 3 wires as there is an LED on it. I did not want to use the light on the switch so simply grab your multimeter and find which 2 wires need to be connected and then use the ohmmeter and verify that the switch works between the 2 connected wires and the other wire.

I switched on the + lead.

    awesome

they are on all of the time, day and night

the addition of the sub $10 plug-and-play LED headlight replacement was the finishing touch and between the ehadlight on low beam and the driving lights, the night is lit.
