    My '04 1800C didn't have a throttle tube.
The grip had a cam for the push/pull cables.

Any Aftermarket Grip will work - You do not need a new Sleeve unless you order a pair Specifically for the Honda, just get any a Harley style grip for 1" Bars. Left Grips are held on with Set screws, Right Grip simply mounts on the bar and with in the Housing.

    Here are a few options.

Bass dude, Can ask what were the draw backs to the grip tape . Seems like it should work ? Can u suggest some grip glue that would give me some working time?

I have used Gorilla glue on the grips. It gives you HUGE working time - something like 12 hours However, remember that it expands in volume about 3X so use it sparingly and put it in the grip not on the bar. This forces any excess to move deeper into the grip.

Golf grip tape never really did have a nice solid feel to it holding the handgrips to the bars, and after a couple times of getting caught in the rain riding, they both came completely loose...Not a big deal with the left side, but a huge pain in the ass with the throttle side when the grip keeps slipping on the throttle tube...

Like Vinish stated, Gorilla Glue is all I'll use now....I've tried golf grip tape, hairspray (both of which failed miserably), and contact cement (which also failed after a few times of getting wet, and Gorilla Glue is the only thing I've found that gives plenty of working time, yet also holds firm even after getting soaked with water from getting caught out in the rain...
