    Would be good for those with limited space that put their bikes up for winter storage. Kicking the wife's car out into the snow so the bike can live in comfort in the garage all winter might not be the best choice for some people.

    Actually, that would be great for me, as my bike sits in the garage for 7 months of the year (summer). I can only ride in the winter.

    The bike is in Florida. I currently spend 7 months per year in Massachusetts.

    I hope that diagonal brace is sturdier than it looks... but, then, I wouldn't trust my wall... LOL!!

    The strength of the wall and the mounting/attaching of the device to the wall was what I also was thinking would be the weak points. Even if the normal 2x4 studs are strong enough, I bet the cantilevered forces from the bike on the rack would bend the wall and crack the drywall pretty quickly - maybe even on the other side of the wall from the bike.

    ^^^ ...could always make a couple of legs of appropriate length to lower the platform back down onto to remove the cantilever forces... the legs would be almost 8 ft. apart - wider than most cars?
