Tensioner chains are tight. Absolutely no metal in crankcase......thought I'd find a little when I removed the side cover. I talked with an independent m/c shop owner today who works on quite a few Honda products, showed him a video of what I have going on, and he said put it back together and ride it.......using 87 octane fuel. So, that's what I'm going to do. If it blows, a used engine can be had for less than $1000.00, and I have the ability to swap it out.
So, for now, this saga is over.
Thanks to all for your responses and suggestions.

I......have an "R", SHE has the "S". But.......I do stand corrected from my original description.

The pipes are stock with slip-ons. But, the slip-ons aren't branded, and they guy I bought the bike from had no idea about them either.
    Thanks guys.
I did find out that the slip-ons are Cobra.
