    Electronic cruise control

Anybody got any suggestions? I'd like one that works like a car with an auto cutoff when the brakes are engaged.

Mine is the breakaway brand that you can either cut off with your thumb or when you pull the front brake it cuts off.

    +1 on the Breakaway.

OK, so it doesn't hold your speed constant up and down hills, but it does lock the throttle. Really helps to give your right wrist a break once in a while, especially nice on longer cruises.

I love it but a man has to know his limitation and the is way to complex for this mind, I'd rather rebuild a small block Chevy than try that. I think the idea is brilliant though.

Accutronix operates like the one on your car. About $120 from amazon.com

    catdaddy,

Is this the cruise you're talking about?
    http://www.amazon.com/Audiovox-CCS10...4205382&sr=8-2
Now selling for $90. Read the reviews...there's a biker review there.
Perhaps, the bannersyuma site gives good "play by play" instructions for this unit.
    Looks like a great system.

I am currently installing the Audiovox Electronic Cruise on my bike!!! I am close to being done. I will hopefully be installing the tank back on my bike tonight, and doing a test ride tomorrow. I have turned on the key and was able to get the little green light to light up.

I will be doing a small write up about it in a new thread when completed, and of course I will have a few pictures to show.

I have used this link as my bible for the most part!!!
    http://www.bannersyuma.com/Assets/In...VTX%201300.pdf

I have kept my tool compartment intact (did not remove the battery box). I am not going to use a vacuum canister (yet). If I do, I will mount it under the bike behind the Fatty Bar (will be hidden).

Not hard. It is time consuming, but not hard. I was going to order the Breakaway, but for half the price, I went with the electronic unit.
