    Radiator cap

    Hey, do you have to remove the whole gas tank to get at the rad cap or acn you just loosen up the bolt lift the rear of the tank and reach it that way

    Not positive on the 1800's, but I gotta pull the tank off completely to get at mine (1300R)...

    I'm chicken to try that is it hard to do, I mean taking the tank off ?

    But it would be worse to watch it fall onto the floor while you're fiddling with the radiator cap...

    Tank needs to be pulled to access the cap.

    Well, if you have a helper, you can loosen and have the second set of hands hold the tank up at an angle (almost completely off the bike) so that you can get to the cap.

    If your going to be playing with the coolant long, just remove the tank, and have fun pulling the fuel line from it... It kinda makes a mess.

    ok I know im whinning buttttttt are there a lot of hoses to undo/then do like the fuel line etc my fear is blowing myself up either during or when im riding

    Well, you're not Michael Phelps with a bong in your hand, are you???..Just remember where all the hoses go, or make yourself a sketch to use as a guide....And NO SMOKING while handling gas tank...If you run into a snag, somebody here wil help you out...

    You will take it off and not even think about it pretty soon.
    Yoru gonna want to do the pair mod probably one day....
    or wire up lights ....etc etc.
