    Helpsos Changing antifreeze

I can't see how to drain the coolant from the system. The only way I see is to remove the lower radiator hose. I can't find much in my shop manual. Any tips or in put is appreciated.

you take off the rear chrome cover where the shifter linkage is and there is the water pump the lower bolt at around 6 oclock comes out and that is the drain (it has a copper washer under the head) open the radiator cap and let her flow.

section 6 page 5 of my downloaded manual.

no it won't drain the reserve, I think you would need to pull that tank.

I said piss on it and just left that little bit of old in and filled the tank to the proper level.

I don't think you have to swap out the antifreeze until 24,000 miles or so. Is this correct?
I assume you use the honda premix when you do, but I have heard others of using a 50/50 mix. Feel free to share your thougths and comments.

24,000 or every 2 years which ever comes first

any silicate free antifreeze will work.

if you want to pay 3 or 4 times the money go with the Honda premix.

I bought some salicate free Prestone from Wat Mart for $8.00 a gal. I haven't had a chance to make the change.

I owe you a beer if you ever get to the East Coast. If that damn bolt was a snake, I'd been dead by now. I looked at that bolt and said that you must be crazy until I could see the small washer. Thank you and my wife thanks you because I can stop all the cussing and screaming.

    The 50/50 is the premix
50% antifreeze and 50% distilled water
    never ever use tap water
