    Saddlebags 2006 VTX 1800F

I have added all of the accessories I want on my bike except for saddlebags and I am set on hard bags. Nothing against leather I just prefer hard bags. I know from the first set of pipes I ordered that distributors will tell you something fits your bike when it does not (what a fiasco). Hence I want to get a heads up here. I have looked at these particular saddlebags and these are what I want. Can anyone tell me from personal experience if these models will fit on a 2006 VTX 1800F. If so were these easy to install, how well did they fit, what was the quality of the saddlebags?

I have the National Cycle bags and they are a good quality bag. Mine are mounted with the NC brackets which use 2 longer bolts thruogh the fender support. I have not had any problems with mounting them or with leaks. The previous owner had installed them and put a piece of metal tape under the right side bags so there's never a heat problem. The other I don't know about.

My son has the National Cycle bags on his V-Star for abotu 2 years with no problems. I just purchased a set of Leather US SADDLEBAGS for my '06F and really like them. They are also lockable.

You may not get many responses because bag on a F just look wrong.

I really hate to say it because I hate Corbin with a passion, (wouldn't own any of their products even if they paid me to put them on) but they have the only saddle bags I would consider putting on a F.

When I was running my F fender I would use a T bag and it worked well and looks much better than saddle bag on a F IMO. I can get a ton of stuff in my kurryakyn grand tour bag.

Good luck with whatever you choose
My bike with F fender and bag

With my N fender and bag...

I know what you mean, the F is not mean't for saddlebags. I only want these for long road trips and I want to be able to quickly detach them. It would be nice if I could find a set that also had mounting racks that could be quickly and easily removed. Most of the time I won't have these on but when I take a long trip, I would like to have as much space as possible. It's also nice if these are secured to the bike so no one grabs them while you are in a restaurant. Thanks for the heads up, BTW nice looking bike.

The corbin bags aren't meant for easy removal the become part of the bike and are very costly.

    Very true.

If they are going to come on and off I would do a set of them china hard bags (can't remember the name right now) on a set of easy brackets.

When I bought my '05 F it had the honda bags and brackets (the guy I bought it from paid something like 700-800 for them)
They were off about twenty min. after I got home.
Sold on this forum a couple days later.
