I buy food, toothpaste, paper towels, toliet paper, books/supplies, oil, washer fluid but I won't ever ever buy another battery from walmart...not even for the lawn mower.

Two comments on the 'ODYSSEY Battery, Model PC545' ad.
The Cold Cranking Amps rating on the Odyssey is less than one half the OEM batteries that come is our bikes. That may be a problem in cold weather.
GMan Industries statement "Do Not Use Battery Tender. Doesn’t need it, and it will short cycle your battery" is true. Battery Tenders may damage AGM batteries. AGM batteries are designed for long storage times. They are not designed for continuous charging. There are very few people in the industry that understand that.
Wikipedia has a good introductory article on valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) batteries. The VTX stock absorbent glass mat (AGM) batteries are a particular type of VRLA battery.
We have to be careful of advertisements for unexpected low prices for AGM batteries. It's common practice for vendors to relabel inexpensive wet cell batteries as AGM or VRLA. The "buyer has to beware."
I got a yusa batt from interstate for 49.99. comes in interstate box but says yusa when ya take it out . I had lots o luck with interstate batts. one in the truck is 6 yrs old .
It should give you some god specs. Also; you should be able to find some good links to more info on their products. I have several different Odyssey batteries that I use for my son's bike, my riding mower and my cars. They have been very reliable for me.:choppersm
I agree with Toasted... Don't by bike batteries from Wal-Mart. We bought one for my son's bike and returned it 2 days later. Got the Odyssey battery and he likes it. No problems. And, yes they don't play well with "trickle chargers" They like juice! I let my mower sit outside all winter last year and went out and it started up with out boosting the battery.
Don't buy cheap crap batteries. The VTX needs everything it's battery is rated for. Others will not last and can even cause problems. Do what Toasted said.
Kinda off topic, but I have a red top odyssey in my Silverado that is still going strong after 7 years! TX heat, A/C with aftermarket stereo, lots of idling at stoplights,,, It has actually outlived the alternator!
