For MC tire, 200 is max. But save your money and stick with stock size. If you're interested in something different, do a search on this site for "Darkside".
Can do a 180 and gain very little (also lose tread depth I believe). A 200 is a waste of money as mentioned above. If the car tire is not your thing, do a search for the Foots Mod. It involves putting an 1800 rear wheel on the bike and then a 200 tire is worth the money. Good luck with your decision! :choppersm
foots mod w/ slapjack rotor worth every penny .... just do it... here are before and affter shots. View attachment 14171View attachment 14172
hope this helps... as stated above 180 0r 200 on the stock really will not gain anything... but foots does.

A friend of mine has a tire (200 /50 R18) that he is giving me if it fits. I have a 2004 VTX 1300c. Does anyone know if this tire will fit on my stock wheel?
Thanks,

I am trying to get the fattest back tire and lower the rear of my 06 vtx 1300C? What is the best and Cheapest way to do it? The 1800 rear wheel is a 16"? So what size tire should I get? I want to get the 10.5" lowering shocks or do I not need to with getting a 1800 wheel and tire?
I don't think it's a waste of money. It costs another $15 to go up to a 200 on the rear, and you gain about an inch of height, as well as a wider contact area:
Plus I figured I would polish it up a bit while it was off
