Woot Widest rear tire on stock wheel

So my wife got me a set of Avon Cobra tires for Christmas. (I love that women) Anyway the rear tire is stock width 180. Can I fit a wider tire, like a 200. If I can i want to exchange the 180 before I get them mounted.

    Happy Holidays

Stock everything (I'm working on it)

Yes, a 200 is a perfect fit on an 1800 wheel.

Even on an 1800R? I'm running a 180 Dunlop and it already seems like a tight fit. Anyone running a 200 rear mc tire on a retro?

No problems with the 200 Metzler on mine. It does look like it is close, but never has it rubbed the swingarm.

The 1300R and 1800R use the exact same fender...Plenty of room for a 200 in there...Lots of guys (myself included) running a 205/70-15 car tire with no rubbing...

there are many discussion about the car tire on this forum, take a week off from work and take the time to read.

I love mine. it has a few minor eccentricities to get used too, but after a couple hundred miles I got really used to it and was dragging floorboards again. I'm running the General Grabber UHP 205/70/15.

as far as mounting it, some shops won't, some will. most won't install it on the bike. but, since I do most of my own work, i have no problem with installing it.

Actually putting the tire on the rim i went to my local used tire guy up the road and he mounted it for $10.
