Where is key code on ignition switch???

Where can I find the key code on the ignition switch? I have a dealer that is willing to make the key and send it to me to make up for making me drive over 70 miles round trip to find out the key cutting guy wasn't at work that day. The tech at the dealer said it's stamped on the switch and will start with a an A, B, C, or D with two numbers following. He's waiting on my call...Thx

Just take off that small phillips screw, remove the cover and it's stamped right there on the switch....EASY. The key code is the last 3 numbers/letters..

Appreciate it!! It's amazing how the more I find out about this bike, the more I see how user friendly it is. I don't fancy myself mechanically inclined, but I've done some things on this bike (with the help of the South Fl. crew) that I would never have attempted in the past. This key code thing for example......I removed the entire ignition switch for nothing...All I had to do, with switch still mounted, is remove that phillips head screw, remove the housing/cover and get the code - 2 minutes top...

I think they can use the number on the sticker on the down tube on the left side of the radiator.

Nope, just went and checked. No code on the helmet lock like some have mentioned as well.

No not on the helmet lock. It's in the front down tube beside the radiator on the left side of the bike. There is a sticker there.

Hum, I'll have to go look on mine. It's there. Look on the right side of the bike just above the toe shifter on the frame (silver sticker) -- unless someone removed it. One the sticker there should be a big long number on it.

    Also this link may help.
