Glen's new Stainless Steel clutch adjuster
I got mine the other day and put it on today. I have Hick's, which I love except for the metal starting to rust, especially the bolts.......I guess I could have taken it off and cleaned it up, but being lazy, I bought the stainless steel one from Glen......was nothing to put on.....adjusted my clutch cable and went for a short ride cause it was raining......excellent!!!! made the clutch very easy, as easy as Hick's,maybe a bit easier....maybe cause I tightened the cable more......all I can say is another wonderful product from Glen!

Good to hear Epi, I got one from Glen for the exact same reason, just haven't had time to put it on yet. With rain forecast next couple of days, probably find time to do it now.

I got mine last Friday.
I didn't get to put it on before I left on a business trip last weekend. Been wondering about it all week. Can't wait to put it on when I get home this weekend. I ordered it about 10 minutes after he got the special up on his site Sat . night. Ordered the AF tool along with it. My AF screw seems awful tight. Seemed like the spring in the AF tool was twisting up. Beats the heck out of removing the tank to fine tune. Found out that I was about 1/4 turn off. (I used the high idle/tach tuning method. Took about 10minute after warmup) Thinking I should have got the rivet removal tool too. Oh well, I got a dremel.......

I got mine last Thursday and installed Saturday morning before meeting a group for a ride. I used a dremel as well but if I had seen the rivet removal tool I would have opted for it. Still got it installed in about 30 - 35 minute had more of a cleanup. Took for a spin around the block before hitting the road to meet up for the ride. Hit allot of traffic hand and arm didn't even get cramped or bother me for the whole day. Shifting was smoother, like butter. Excellent job Glen.

Got it installed tonight in about 15min, haven't tried it out yet, but if it's as good as or better than Hick's I'll be happy, had one from Hick's, but it was starting to rust, I'm too lazy to remove & repaint, so I thought I'd try Glens.

Have had this unit on my bike for about 4 months now. Love it. I'd pay the little extra and get the removal tool. It took me about 10 minutes to remove the old and install the new. Slick as a trick. Made a world of different in the clutch pull.

I used a dremel, worked great, makes alittle mess. but nothing a shot of compressed air wont fix. I went from Stock to Glens CPR and WOW!!!!!! HUGE Improvement

I guess it was just me, but I had a tough time with the rivet remover, I was not able to get it lined up correctly. Then I used my dremel tool, then a high speed drill, and then it came out about ½ hour later. I think my rivet was made of Tungsten, lol. But it’s on now and works great once it was adjusted correctly. (some times things don’t go as you plan them).

Agree it's a great addition. Installed mine a couple of days ago. Like everyone else has said, makes a world of difference.
Glen, does your CPR allow/give the same stoke length as the factory lever when the clutch is engaged? |

Glen ~ I will be ordering mine today. I have nerve damage in my left hand from an accident a few years back (in my truck not on the bike). I will let you know how it helps. A friend of mine did the same mod and says it is great, so I hope it lets me ride longer than I have been able to ride with the pain I put up with. Thanks in advance.

I got Glen's CPR a couple of weeks ago and just got a chance to install it this morning.
Wow, what a difference! Install was a breeze, adjusted the free play and was off for a couple hundred miles. Thanks Glen.

Can you take a side by side comparison of Glen vs Hicks?

I just recently bought my 2005 1300. The first thing I noticed on the test ride was how much effort it took to engaged the clutch. But priding myself on being able to "fix things", I figured a little cleaning and adjusting would fix this up just fine. Little did I know that the hard pull is a Honda design problem, a problem that Glen (i.e. glensvtxgarage.com) addressed and fixed with his"VTX 1300 Clutch Pull Relief" kit . I bought one, and installed it with absolutely no trouble. Also, thanks to a bunch of guys on this web, a group which I now join in strongly recommending that, you buy this product and get the tools that Glen offers, i.e. the rivet "remover". Many of us think there is nothing to removing a rivet, and sometimes that is correct, but the rivet you need to remove during this operation is hard to get to and the tool Glen provides could not work any better then it did; well worth the $2.++ postage to return the tool for credit. Excellent product!!!

I have raved about this item before but little did I know if I had adjusted the clutch right it would have been better than what it was after switching. I now have the clutch properly adjusted and the shift is so smooth and easy. Can't believe an approximately 3 1/2" long piece of metal would make this much difference. I can't say enough good things about Clutch Pull Relief. I know there are some VTX 1800 riders wish that he could something for their bikes to make it easier to hold the clutch in.

Finally got around to installing Glens CPR a couple weeks ago and it rocks!
![]() I'd heard about it awhile ago, but didn't think I needed it until my first long weekend trip..by the end of it my hand was hurtin pretty good. So I put this baby on and the difference is quite noticeable. And the price is right, would definitely recommend! I did the rivet remover and it took about 20 min to install. Thanks Glen! ![]()
