Glens A/F tool
Anyone in my area have Glenns a/f tool? I think I need to adjust my mixture setting. It's just not feeling right since the weathers turned cooler. Thanks and ride safe.

Just go to his site and buy it. I got mine in 3 days. Then you will have it when you need it.

Instead of getting the tool, I ordered the permanent mount A/F screw. Now its easy to adjust the carb.

Either the Screw or Tool is definitely worth buying. Actually, ANYTHING from Glen's site is!

Hey Glen~~ I have your A/F tool and it works great, but am considering installing your permanent adjuster. What is the installation process? Also I have the BAK air box. Which one would I need?

Thanks for the info. Glen. Can I actually get my hand back in there to remove the screw with the air box off? I don't remember that being possible. Sorry to be so dense.

Got my permanent AF screw from Glen a few days ago and installed it yesterday. Upon removal of the original screw I found it to be turned out only 3/4 of a turn from the seated position. That explains the terrible hesitation when the bike is cold and the decel popping. No wonder the bike would flatten out in WOT. I also discovered that I did not have a spring on the original screw. I checked the hole with a dental mirror and it wasn't stuck up there. Anyone else not find a spring?
Anyway, installed the perm screw and brought it out to 2 1/4 turns and went for a ride. As everyone said the bike started with no choke although it needed a little twist on the throttle, but no hesitation, coughing, bucking, etc. when I left the driveway. What a relief! The bike pulls nice and strong in all gears regardless of RPM. It really moves out nice and no more popping. What a great tool Glen supplies for us VTX Owners. I couldn't imagine taking everything off and on while trying to micro-tune the AF screw. Best $40 I've spent in a while. Why did I wait so long? Thanks Glen! |

i got my permanent AF-Tool and the clutch set some days ago and put both in yesterday.
works like a charm, clutch is soft as warm butter. i only do not know, how to get rid of the decel popping. its still there whether going to fat or lean - still popping! Just guessing its because the lower muffler (they are from a HD Dyna) is not fasten all the was and there is air getting out. Going back to the stock-mufflers. don't like that excessive noise while riding. (but still ride with earplugs) ride safe harry |

yep - all together with pictures.
and its so easy, even a caveman can do it and if you buy the clutch reliever - buy the rivet removing tool (was that the right name???)also. it is done within half an hour and the clutch works like warm butter! your left hand will love it - when you are in traffic jam! ![]() ![]() ride safe harry ![]() |
