So far the snowfall in the UP is a record low of 145.4" with 30" on the ground now. The average snowfall for Munising is 305". This month temps are 12* higher than normal so I'd classiry it as a mild winter up there for the residents and probablly a bad year for the snowmobile activity overall. I could be wrong if there was a steady snow fall so they could keep the trails groomed. Munising is the snowmobile capital of the US because of the miles of trails you can ride that are groomed. I bought a snowmobile when I built our home up there but we never stayed for any good snow so I sold it after it sat in the garage for 2 year. The good thing was the prices went up on them so much and mine loaded with heated options and the largest engine made so I didn't lose a prnny. It was capable of hitting 120mph. So far I have owned but never ridden a snowmobile, go figure.
Holy shit batman the UP is having a tropical heat wave. I bet the busnesses are crying because the snowmobilers make up over 75% of their winter busisess. A kild winter will be good for the deer herd the last couple winters really thinned the herds out pretty bad. I saw a few on my propety last year but wat below the norm. Did Grand Rapids have a mild winter also. Va Cancelled my appointment for early May until June the first so I can't leave here before than anyway. I have a family reunion in the later part of June so I need to decide if I plan to to attend or forgo the event. I guess I'll be calling up North to see when my road is free of snow so I can get down it.
It will go out on Monday or Tuesday, I'm trying to get some of the batch beers but those are hard to find. Maybe this weekend I can find some. I was surprised that they came in double duece's, not many brewery's bottle in 22 oz. anymore.
You really don't have to send me anything, wanted to send you a thanks for supporting the site these years! The pale ale is obvious, valdez is a coffe stout, and vortex II is a Russian imperial stout....can't recall if it says it on the bottle or not.
I have the beer and didn't want to ship it till the weather was above freezing (hate to see bottle bust on your porch)...looks like this week is gonna be above freezing all week so I will have the boss ship the box Monday.
I guess it is ok now, but for awhile it would not let me respond to posts, it said something like an administrator would have to allow me to respond or that I was too new of a member, but all seems to be well now. Thanks for responding Ray. Later.
Don't be surprised if it is about $12-$15 a sixer, hops are expensive right now. Let me know if you get some and if you like it, if you like hoppy IPA's you will really like this, take a good look at the label too, says it all.
