    G'day from the newbie.

    Hi to all,

I am very new to the VTX.
I had read about them, and was a Honda man to the core. I am more of a tourer than a cruiser rider. I own and ride my daily commute the ST 1100.
My son was more interested in Crrisers. So I saw a 2nd hand VTX 1800 and told him about it. He ended up purchasing it.

When his mother saw the bike she was very complimentary and loved the low seat height when she sat on it. She made comments how much nicer the VTX-18 was than the ST11. She felt safer lower than the high position afforded on the ST11.

So in the hope that I could get her on the back of my bike I purchased a 2008 VTX 1800C . It only has 26,000 kms or just over 16,000 miles.
Well my wife is not getting on the back. Now I have two very nice bikes.

We are located in Melbourne Australia.

    Regards to all.

Welcome from central Pa. high atop the Alleghenies. Good to have another new member from down under. There's a bunch of you! I've been watching the Outlaw Nitro Funny Car series from Aussie-land.

Get her a sissy bar plus backrest and that might get her to go 2-up - feeling safe/secure... my wifey wouldn't think of it until I got this setup for her...
