Hello people.
the current color of my Honda is a boring beige-sh metallic one and i want to spice things up. What color goes well with the VTX? Here's what I'm toying with:
Red
Orange
Off-White

or a 2 color combination .
any ideas r welcome.
thank.

Thanks BUYA....
I'm also leaning towards the orange too..would you care to show me a sample of BURNT ORANGE :hmm2:...:)? One thing is for certain though BUYA & others...Whatever color i go with .....I'm damn sure gonna follow suite with the seats....:cheers: !!! tried it on my Kawa ZX6R....& looks AWESOME!!!!

I like the two-tone classic look..

..... My main man....I ALSO like the 2-tone classic look & now torn & undecided :banghead:....
..hmm, what do you think of a 2-tone paint job, but instead of the "color" & white...I do a "color" & "color"...as in maybe Orange (burnt or otherwise) and Red (fireman)...lolol........will that be OVER-THE-TOP CRAZY :spank:?

Well guys tomorrow is the D-DAY & Im taking the shadow to be Re-sprayed .

I've decided to go LOUD (&PROUD) and spray it a Yellowish Orange color (though more yellow than orange) . I think after its done and i polish the chromes very well, it'll look good. I'll post pics once it's done and & get ur inputs :) . Just now i thot of even spraying the break calipers as well. . . , haha, but I'll take it one step at a time.

See u soon guys ;);) .

update! = Color change!

well guys I've just gotten the paint job finished and just fixed on the tank for now. I'm having the wheels re-touched and chrome treated so I'll fix the other "fairing" once that is done and post pic of the FINISHED PRODUCT. BUTTTT, here's a preview :).

Lemme know what you guys think !!!!

:coffee:............me too BuYA :) .... I Should get everything finished by today (local, here) & so I'll post up the pics tomorrow, God Willing. this is what & you guys should expect. the completed fairings & re-sprayed weels & disks + the Drive Shaft Hub. My engine area is not bad (a little) blemishes but I didn't want to touch it & in the process mess it up...I'm hoping Guys here will figure out a way for me to clean it up. Also, the black frame wasn't touched (though, also has some little nicks) on the advice of the specialist .
So.....look out for the pics and I'm hoping I'll get a lot of input/criticism (the positive ones only i hope :hmm2:....lol).

Homms

"Sunny" ( the name i christened my VTX ) is ready to be SHOWN :) & I'll put up picks later. However, since im using tapatalk & seem to locate the name"new thread" icon, im her to let u know that im embarking on another MOD this weekend. Im gonna do a driver's lower back-rest using a car "headrest" . The aftermarket ones cost about $600. . . . . I figure my MOD will cost me AT WORST about $100 (if i use expensive leather ) .

Can't wait to get started :D:D:beer::cool: .

See ya ;).

Update: PICS R READY!!

Well, here is it. My Honda Shadow 2005 VTX 1300C all Re-Sprayed and Polished....They were taken almost immediately after the job was done so the pics are not really "SHOW-CALIBER" ones lol but i will put up a couple of those types a bit later on....

Your inputs and further suggestions on possible additions to the look will be highly welcomed ....

Nice looking bike man...loving the yellow. Agree the black engine would set it off. I am in the same boat as you right now with my orange bike. I have so many black accents but the engine is not painted and not sure if I am up for the challenge just yet.

thx Rubix .
I really wasn't thinking of this yellow, i was looking at the more "standard" yellow that everyone knows, hehe, and put up a pick initially of the 1 I had in mind, along with an Orangey 1. WHEN I went to collect it, the dude said he chose d current color (a new one used in most 2012 cars). Basically told me to F-off (lol) & took d initiative. After seeing the result, im happy he did .

Now, I dont know.about the Black Engine Spraying though . How will it stick on there, with all the heat d engine emanates? If paint can stick, how 'bout I go COMPLETELY loco. . . & go for the same YELLOW?

LOL, ur thoughts :screwy:.
