My time is getting closer.....I started her up with a minimal crank, and she immediately high idled around 1500 on my VDO tach. Left her warm up for 10 min. or so during which time she idled down on her own, cracked the throttle a couple times till the fan kicked on, engaged 1st & 2nd gears for a min., then back to neutral and shut her down until I can get it off the stand and take her for her annual inspection, maybe by the end of the month.

been working on the Bike shed (Phred's Shed) got it painted inside last week, had a flat on the rear on Sat while riding with Judi, we were able to get the trailer and get home, turns out the valve stem was torn at the entrance to the rim, reason the portable air compressor would not fill it. took it off, the local tire shop popped the bead and replaces the new valve stem, (i furnished it, a steel 90 deg one) so first repair in the shed. breaks next

I've got a nice Empire cover that cost me close to a C note, with a fleece lined underside. I'm totally bummed about it though, the POS cover rubbed the clear coat on the tank and rear fender. My next thought was to buy a clam shell type cover, but I'm afraid with the wind we get around here, it'll be just as bad. Maybe a 20' conex to put her in, that might be the way to go.

Jim here has that clam shell for his Goldwing Trike..wind did grab it.. he did need to modify its mounts to the ground.... ...
so 18 months later ..doing fine..

we do get the winds right off the Mexican desert.... just had 60 plus a few weeks ago.. 20 foot trees are useless.. but that is all they do..

case in point... for you Northerners..... birds...... roust for the night on the power wires..... thousands and thousands...not in trees...
but the wild green parrots ... like the street light poles...
