    1) Hit the kill switch: headlight comes on strong, fuel pump primes. 2) Hit the starter button: solenoid clicks but won't crank. 3) Bridge the solenoid +/- with copper wire: cranks and allllmost turns over. But this is new: spits gas out the top tail pipe while it's cranking. My question is...

Was hanging out with a buddy and went to put new battery in my '03 VTX 1800R. Neither of us caught the fact it was backwards. I tried starting it, no luck (obviously). I then realized it was backwards. I hooked it up correctly, and now when I turn key to ON and kill switch ON, I get no sounds...

(Died as soon as I pulled the cables off). Replaced the stator, then battery that was shot from bad stator. Started and rode great maybe...

So, getting her warmed up for the season, running a little rough. Seems to be going through fuel at 2x. Ok, spark plugs? Yep, pretty much end of life, so changed them. But my bike has a wierd thing, the key can be taken out while it's running. So, oops, I left it on. Come out the next...

Long time lurker first time poster here. Having some trouble with the battery on my 2010 Stateline. Like an idiot, I left the key in the ignition one day at work and it stayed like that for about 8 hours. Needless to say, the battery died. I first tried to bump start the bike but that was a...

Ok so at t he tech session we solved the dreaded VTX wobble but now on my way home, I noticed my speeddometer fluctuating from around 70 ( about actual speed) and just drop off down to as low as 0 and bounce anywhere in between. Also a few times the bike stuttered and the odometer would shut off...

I know these 2 topics have been threaded before, but I am a bit confused about some things. I would like to purchase a battery tender and a 12 volt acc. I undertsand that I just connect the pigtail straight to the battery for the tender. I have then seen that I have a couple of options for the...

So...I stupidly left the key turned on for my 1300S this morning. I didn't realize it for about 3 hours, and now the battery is dead. I'm going to invest in a tender this afternoon anyway, but my questions are these... Did I ruin the battery? Will it charge back up with the tender? If I need a...

Speedo and trip go dead and then a minute or so later so does the bike….. I have an 07 VTX 1300r with 45k original owner miles. In the middle of a long ride my battery died (I figured the battery had a few miles so I replaced it during the trip). After replacing the battery I started for home...

Hi there, Had my 1300C out for a weekend ride, all was well. Just when I came back to put her in the garage I put her in gear with the stand still down (doh!!!) and it cut out as it should. However, I cannot get her started again. Initially, not even the console lights came on. However, after...

Took my Ulitimate Big Boy seat off to see about doing the "pin mod" (which I'm not, btw) and decided to check the battery cables, as I have read countless threads and answers regarding them being loose. I bought the bike new about 1 year ago, almost to the day. Sure enough, I pushed each one...
