I use K&N oil filters, mostly for the nut on the back.

Don't mean to beat a dead horse here, but I've researched a lot of oil filter threads, and the word seems to be that the Purolator ML16817 is a great choice.

Where the heck can I find it, though? Everywhere I go, it's Wix, Wix, Wix, blah....

I use an auto grade, Mobil1 extended performance. I trust their oil indefinitely, so I'm giving their filter a shot, I plan to go 8k on oil, that filter promises 15k protection, but I will change it at 4k and add the half qt of racing 4t that I loose in the process. Largely personal choice, Good luck with yours

I just switched from a NAPA 1356 TO A FRAM 7317. Going good for me so far.

I use the genuine Honda filter, at $8.00, it's hard to beat.
