I bought a Memphis Shades mount kit for a vtx1800C so I could move my WS from the 1300 to the 1800. The instructions say to install the lower mount just above and flush to the lower triple tree. When you do that the turn signal arm is just above the mount and the mounting arm will not go vertical. Its pointing about 30 degrees forward. See below pictures. It seems to me that the instructions are wrong and both mounts have to be installed above the turn signal stalk. Anyone have a MS trigger lock shield mounted on a 1800 with covered (spec 2 or 3) forks? I need some feedback.

Look at the pictures on the instructions. They do say against the lower triple tree bracket. But the picture shows them touching the top of the signal bar bracket. Try it in that position it will probably work just fine for you. Be sure to check your clearance near the tank. Don't "ding" it up!
