I did actually consider having these rims painted, along with the fenders and fuel tank. Probably gonna do a nice royal purple. But I guess what I'm really wondering at this point is if there are different cast spoke wheel options for the 1800c model, kinda like what the F model has. Something different than this bulky looking swirl design lol

The F wheel is an iconic style. I like them as well. Most aftermarket sources have gone away, but you migh get lucky with the search mode. If you want something in chrome, they might cost you close to a couple grand, so be wary.

Yeah, for sure. I'm happy with the color of these stock cast wheels. It's not chrome but they still look alright, color wise. I had planned to put reflective strips on them to make them pop a little more. But yeah, I definitely do not have the budget for chromed out rims hahaha.

It does kinda suck that it seems so hard to find aftermarket wheels that will fit the 1800C. Wish there were more readily available choices.
I wonder if it'd be possible to transfer the wheels of the F model to the C model?

You wouldn't be changing the look that much. The F and C look fairly close except for the F's 5 spoke wheels, the pipes, and all the digital gauges. FWIW, the more you polish an aluminum rim, the more it shines like chrome.

Thats kinda what I'm looking for. Just something other than the stock C wheels which are these bulky swirl designs. If I could find wheels from the F model, is it possible to fit them to a C model?

Have to wonder about the intensity about getting different wheels. They are the first thing to get dirty and also hard to check air pressure. Alot of the wheel is hidden anyway because of the calipers, disks, etc. Not to mention difficulty in cleaning. Pretty much my '03 VTX1800c gets clean with paper towels and foaming glass cleaner. The wheels are just too much trouble to stay squeaky-clean. So in my opinion it is far better to focus on tires, maintenance, and lots of glam (or eye candy). This is where the money should be spent. Esp. intake/exhaust.

You do have a point or 2, but anytime you change a tire, you can add 90* or angled valve stems to make airing easier. As many of us put our toys away for winter, while it's up on a stand is a good time to do some wheel polishing. If the wheels are turning free with the frame on a stand, you can turn the wheels while polishing with a cordless drill and cone or ball cleaning attachment, and a compound for aluminum like White Diamond. Don't use chrome cleaner or something not for aluminum! If they are scuffed or pitted badly enough, then you have to do the 4 or 5 step sanding process, finishing with White Diamond. The more you polish, the better they look, almost like chrome. Sometimes you have to invest in a little sweat equity besides whats in your wallet.
