I wouldn't mind having a bent frame for an 1800 just to play with but, S & H is about all you would get from me. That is a lot to gamble with. What if the bend were in the wrong spot for your intentions. I want to cut it up, stretch it and make a custom rake with may be some other tricks on the fly just to see if I could? Not worth the asking price.

I could easily be wrong but I thought "clear title" just meant it had no lien against it - that is, there is no outstanding loan on the bike. If I am correct (a big "if"), then a bike or frame could have both a clear and a salvaged title. What do others think about this? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller....

G'day,

Clear title means no liens does not matter if it is salvaged or not. The title is good to register in any state.

The price is high yes. I know people who buy bikes with no titles very cheap, then buy a frame with a title then use that title to get plates. Risky yes.
2004 1800c sold for 1700 with no title + 250 for frame and title and this guy has been driving it since 08. So yes a bent frame has some value.

This is exactly why I would never buy a "salvaged" title bike.
