I did this very mod last fall, swapped out my 1300C handlebars for a set from the 1300R.

I used the handlebars and risers from an R and was able to re-route the C cables and brake line in such a way that they did not require replacing. The wiring was fine without any modification to it. After a few hundred miles, I decided to replace the C cables with R cables. It wasn't really necessary, but I wanted to.

Which brand of R cables did you buy? Have you had any issues with them? I'm looking at Motion Pro. Thanks.
