Hi,

Recently on my 1300 I replaced the air filter with a K&N, Switched the pipes with V&H Big Shots, i also re-jetted the bike with recommended kit. The bike seems to run fine except when in gear and going above 1/2 throttle. it still has momentum, not acceleration and really boggy. In the highest gear it will only get up to 75 before bogging - not that i need to go faster than that, but I would appreciate being able to accelerate to the bikes potential if needed. any ideas on what the issue may be?

Thanks,

Shane

What jet sizes and did you just swap out the jets or did you clean the carb?

Hmm, with aftermarket exhaust and a K&N filter ( even with stock airbox ) 215 would be your jet.

Sounds like Dynojunk, a Factory Pro Stage 3 comes with a 215. I know, we just rejetted a 1300 today.

Factory Pro Stage 3 is the only kit that will properly tune your bike with aftermarket exhaust and a K&N filter ( even with a stock airbox ). Get the kit, go 215/58/clip on 4th groove from blunt end. The turns out on the A/F from seated are debatable from 1 3/4 to 2 1/4. Your bike will never run correctly with Dynojunk.

Perfect. Thank you for your help
Depends on your sense of urgency. I was limited on time, and I am more of an Instant gratification man myself. Had to go Bike Bandit route- little more money but Amazon timeline was outside of what would have worked for me that week.:mosh:

Should I use the stock spring or the dynojet Spring?

Getting ready to do this today

195 and i just swapped em out and put it back together.
It was a dynojet kit. Basically you think I just need the other brand and it will work? I got mine through the local bike shop.
The 195 Dynojet main jet size is equivalent to a 220 Keihin (our oem) or a 220 Factory Pro (our recommended aftermarket) - which is a huge jet for a stock airbox/intake - so you were drowning your A:F ratio with fuel - way too rich at speed - why it was so boggy... Since it looks like you are getting a Factory Pro Stage 3 kit, I recommend using the 210 main (the smallest in the kit) with your presumably stock airbox. I use the shorter compression spring (5-1/4" I think?), from an old DJ kit, for the diaphragm piston... without issue... marginally snappier throttle response is the benefit... but some doing this report surging at highway speeds due to the piston fluttering from the weaker spring... mine does not do this, so I reap the benefit...
