These are just my general thoughts about the motorcycle... I had a 2008 1300 retro which was very clumsy and not enough power. Now I have a 2008 1800 F1 which is not as scary as people make it out to be. It is much more agile than the 1300 it is not top heavy at all and is very nimble. It is also much smoother when shifting and very strong braking power. I find it's also much more comfortable to ride. So if you're wondering should you upgrade I would recommend you definitely do if you can. I've had the bike for a few weeks now and I've already put 700 miles on it and I love it. I would never go back to the 1300. And I would never trade it for the most expensive Harley-Davidson out there.

I do have a question for you... there is different information on the internet as to what the actual gasoline capacity on the 1800 is. Is it 4.4 gallon or 4.8 gallon. BTW my fuel light will typically comes on at 125 MI and I'm trying to figure out how many miles I have left. I thank you in advance for your response. Izzy

My 2003 1800 C has the SMALLEST capacity of any of the years and models @ 4.49 gal. US. My light usually comes on around 3.5-3.7 gal. used, around 110-115 mi., and I have gotten used to finding a fuel stop within 20-30 mi. of the light coming on.
