This is a Fund Raising ride for Heartland Animal Shelter, a no-kill shelter. I was not able to attend last year (daughter got married same weekend...priorities, I know), but in the past, the ride was 70-80 miles long with 1 or 2 pit stops. Ride starts in Northbrook (at the shelter) and heads north down some back roads, through Fox Lake area (be observant, a test will follow...seriously) and ends at Side Outs Bar in Island Lake. Fee includes BBQ lunch (cash bar). Plenty of raffle prizes (in the past prizes included Bears tickets, Weber propane gas grill, leather riding jacket, Lynfred Winery wine tasting FOR 10...it was gooooood)...2 live bands. I have never been disappointed with this ride. Here is the link.
