2022 Scavenger Hunt

7473 Views 73 Replies 15 Participants Last post by  68valiant
It's that time of year again when the new Hunt begins. By "default" I was given the last mark of 2021. So, in the spirt of getting out and seeing some new sights, I am going to start off this year's Motorcycle Scavenger Hunt. (Following rules are copied from last year, credit: Guidedawg)

Rules are easy and casual:

Once a mark is named, the first person to post a picture of their bike with the mark, names the next mark.

You must take a picture AFTER the mark is called.(no old photos)

We can be flexible on this, but I suggest giving 2 weeks for a mark to be found. If it has not, then the poster should choose a different mark.

If it has been a month, anyone can take a photo of their bike with a different category and name that as the new mark for anyone else. This should help keep the game moving along.

The whole point is to get out and ride, see some sights, and have a few laughs. Plus, we love seeing pics of our bikes - so go get 'em!

In the spirit of the New Year and resolutions, the first mark of 2022 is: Your bike and a gym, health food store, or fitness equipment (if your bike is slumbering in the garage like mine, any fitness equipment in the garage with it counts).

Bump for a dam.

that mountain reminds me of one seen from I-84
heading towards Boise, from Mtn. Home
That is the view from my house of the Craig Mountains (Waha) in the south east end of the Lewiston orchards. Pretty much everywhere out of here is up hill since we are at the entrance to Hells Canyon.

Bump.

Hoping to get my new tires on the bike this weekend and get out for a ride... I will be on the look out for this mark. Shouldn't be too hard, I live in Idaho where everything has a lift.

Mother Nature had other plans for our area... we have had 4 days straight of rain and flood warnings. This certainly has been an out of character year for our area. Good news is the bike is back together, cleaned, and ready for riding.

Bump...

We are headed out on a 3 day ride with my buddy and his wife this weekend. Supposed to be 100°+ each day... I will surely get some pictures of my bike in the sun.

We survived the oven-ride. 100°+ each day. We tried to ride early and get back to the A/C by early afternoon. We only clocked 500 miles for the entire trip, but saw a lot of beautiful country, shared some great meals with drinks, and shared some great stories. Sure made it hard to come back for work...

Here are a few shots of the bike "in the sunshine"

Whats this 'work' sh## you speak of? LOL.
It's a necessary evil for the next decade or two...
I have would pull it with little to ok like the pic's, would like info on the trailer you pull behind, I've thought about getting one but was not sure if the bike would pull it without too much trouble. I have 2002 vtx 1800c model.
Here's the thread about my trailer and hitch:

Bump.

Business with number in the name
Stopped and got this picture on the ride home today. The significance of the number in this sign is the miles from the ocean to Lewiston, the west coast's furthest inland seaport.

The business is a warehouse/yard in the port of Lewiston.

Next mark: Your bike and a tree turning its fall colors.

Even though we are in a freezer at the moment in the Pacific Northwest... Hopefully someone out there is still enjoying some riding weather.

There's only a couple days left in this years Scavenger Hunt. So much of the country is in arctic conditions right now.
Hopefully someone out there is still riding and gets the mark: Your bike next to sign with a FOOD on it.

Not sure if this meets the requirement. But Lonny and I took our New Year's ride a day early to take advantage of the sunny weather. We rode to our usual New Year's destination for a Baileys and coffee...
