was in an accident at work on nov. 1st, so even though we had a great nov. dec. and half of january, i couldn't ride.
then it started to get nice again here in the northeast and i threw my back out again shoveling snow. {you know you are getting old when your back goes out more than you do} so no riding
ah but today
today i put my back brace on, put my fender into the wind and off i went. put 50 miles on it before i even noticed.
it's great to be back among the living.

feelin your pain 1954, I ruptured a disc in my back 2 years ago and my back hasn't been right since. Can't run anymore, screws up my golf game, and occasionally makes riding hurt like hell. Oh well, as long as I make riding as comfortable as possible, I'll deal with the pain. Gotta get that wind in my face.

i hear you. just had to get out and ride.
all my buddies were stopping by on the bikes to see how i was doing. that didn't help any.

thanks BADX. i'm taking it easy for awhile. going to try to put a few miles on today. it will be in the high 60's
after that is is going back down into the 40's and 30's for the week

I keep saying I'm going to get out of South Florida,but when I crank the bike up on a Febuary morning without the choke and wearing a t-shirt,I just have to deal with it.May God bless you with a little warmth for your bones.

Wow, South Florida...the thought of it alone is enough to want to move there...

But alas, here in Ohio, we just have to deal with 3 months of misery, and a couple of hit-and-miss. It doesn't matter really, because even in 30 degrees, as long as there is no ice on the road, I am riding!!!!

Free--I can't imagine what an injury like that would be like, but it sounds like you are taking it the best way you can. I think all of us on here are like that--life without riding would be like dying...so I am sure happy to see you back out there. Keep your spirits up, and your knees in the breeze my brother...

i know what you mean, after the winter you got to ride.
my little woman told me if she catches me on the bike she will gut me from crotch to eyeball with a dull deer alteler. means it too. tonight see went shopping and i went for a short ride
it's the best medicine there is
