Hey guys.

I found a VTX 1300 I am interested in. It's a 2005 C with very low miles. What should I look for? Is there any difference between the 05 model year and the 06 and 07?

Really appreciate your comments. You guys are awesome!!

Hate to p in the stew but doesn't everybody have problems with the steering bushings? That seems like something they would have addressed in the later models. SURELY they know there is an issue with is and why isn't there a recall on something as important as STEERING WOBBLE on a bike. Only 850 miles on mine so far so no problems yet. Seems like that could be a warranty issue... wonder how my luck would be with that. This is NOT perfection in my book. End rant,:( .

Not all VTX 1300 have trouble with the Stem bearings. I've worked on a number of them and have replaced three sets with the All Balls Tapered Bearings. I have a guy I work with, that has no trouble at all with his and he is comming close to 20,000 on the ticker. Yes they are on of the pain in the neck with this bike. But If Honda changed the bearings in the 1300 now, It would be like pleading guilty. Not good in court with a Class Action Law Suite
pending. GG :D

As far as I can tell by going through the manual, only thing that's changed from '05 to '07 is the location of some of the wiring!

If it ain't broke.............
