Hey VTX'ers. New member here in central IL, looking to find new riding buddies, or riding events.

My wife and I will be riding to Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest in September for a group ride, if anyone is interested.

We are located in Lincoln, right on I55.

Ride fast, ride safe, and ride often!

Between STL and Chicago, there are quite a few of us.. Im in Belleville, across from STL. There are some in Champaign, Peoria, Bloomington/Normal and even a little farther north towards Chicago.

If you get down this way, let me know! Ther are some great roads to ride along the river.

thanks for the heads up, Gonzo. We go near Belleville quite often on our way to St. Louis. Visit there often, it's only a two hour ride, and we love the city and the Cards!

We'll have to arrange a group ride sometime, maybe to Fast Eddies.

Yeah, thats where I typically take people... Up to Alton, Fast Eddies... then up the River Road to Grafton... Take the ferry across to the island.. ride it... other ferry across to Missouri into the Flatlands.. wind our way to St. Charles and usually FastLane Classis cars is a cool place to get off the bike for a little while... Hit old town St. Charles for some lunch... then back out 94 to the Alton Bridge.. Nice little ride... Around 70 miles total. Not too long.. people who ride in from out of town typically dont want to just right back on the bike and ride some more... lol

But yeah, you get into town, give me a shout!
