Anyone ever relocate the key switch to another part of the bike? Thinking of moving it up to the risers. Has anyone tried this? How hard was it? What's involved? Thanks for the input. :mosh:

HELL NO!!! :nono:
It's taken me two freakin' years just to get THIS start-up routine down and my wife still asks if the petcock is off! :banghead:
(Which is often is...now.) :icon_susp

Cage you actually turn your petcock off?? Had mine for 2+ years and have never turned it off.

If you put it on your dash then you will never be able to put a hinged gas cap on there. I really like my hinged cap.
Since 2004 I have never shut off my petcock - not even if I remove the tank.

Mine don't have a petcock, it remains wild and free!

I don't bother to turn em' off anymore. I figure I got a 50/50 chance of bring right on my next turn anyway!Ummm...For what it's worth...my next goal is to learn to turn off my blinkers...

Please show me a pic of this mod; Seems lame the place Honda puts it. Human Factor Engineering??? Go to reach for the key and you grap a hot engine! Just seems wrong to me. Plus, the self-canceling signals are a safety issue. I don't consider that a luxury item.

Well I'm just going to watch this thread and see what I can learn.....I've thought about trying some kind of mod for my switch so maybe I will learn something and make some changes.

Just a disclaimer, I haven't looked into this at all and am thinking out loud right now, but has anyone ever thought of a little push button opposite the trip button on the front of the dash? I really don't know how feasible it is, but I would love that personally.

I did mount a toggle switch there for my driving lights, so it is a possibility.

Thanks to all who've input on this! Keep em' coming! The Fat Boy switch is a great idea. The push button next to the speedo is great too. Lots to ponder now.
