Remember for all you snow/cold bound people, we are blessed in Arizona having good/great riding just about all year round!

There are many rides that can be had in Arizona using the Phoenix metro area as a base camp, plus there are many activities that are sponsored locally.

Note... For anyone that wants to try something new....... Indian :choppersm motorcycles will be doing factory test drives. :hmm2:

The 2009 Wednesday Riding for Kids Charity Motorcycle Run

Phoenix's Premier Motorcycle Ride Event Announces Date for Arizona Bike Week 2009
PHOENIX, Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The 9(th) Annual Wednesday Riding for Kids Charity Run revs up on Wednesday April 1(st) 2009. The 234 mile ride marks the kick off of Cyclefest at Arizona Bike Week and is an officially-sanctioned event.
The Phoenix Arizona Harley-Davidson Owners Group and Buddy Stubbs Arizona Harley-Davidson will be hosting this premier motorcycle ride. All motorcycle makes are welcome. Registration is from 6:30 to 10:00 AM at Buddy Stubbs Arizona Harley-Davidson located at 13850 North Cave Creek Road Phoenix, AZ, 85022. Cost is $35.00 per individual (pre-registration) with shirts/pins for the first 600 entrants. Also included with the entry fee is admission into Cyclefest. The ride begins at Buddy Stubbs Arizona Harley-Davidson and will include a stop at Buddy Stubbs new Anthem Harley-Davidson location and beautiful scenery as it travels north through Prescott Valley. The ride ends at Cyclefest at Westworld in Scottsdale. Participants should proceed to Buddy Stubbs tent on-site for raffle drawings which will begin at 6:30 PM. Cash and assorted prizes will be awarded. All proceeds from this worthwhile event will go to local children's charities.

Arizona Trail Riders Charity Dual Sport Ride.
Mark your adventure calendars on Saturday, March 28th 2009 for the 3rd Annual Arizona Bike Week Dual Sport Ride, hosted by the Arizona Trail Riders. This 1-day event will Start and End in Mayer Arizona and is open to street legal Dual Sport or Adventure motorcycles. We recommend that all participants equip their motorcycles with a "knobby" tire for this ride. The ride consists of a 140 mile loop route on paved and dirt roads in varying degrees of maintenance, with some fairly technical routes for those who choose the “Hero” loop. All participants must be able to go 85 miles for gas. Event check-in is from 7am-9am with a Riders Meeting at 7:30am and the last rider out by 9am. Included with your $55.00 Registration fee includes lunch at the Jerome State Park in Jerome Arizona, GPS Tracklogs, and Roll Chart. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Arizona Off Highway Vehicle Coalition to help them promote responsible OHV recreation in Arizona.

  • This is a 1-day event on Saturday March 28th, 2009.
  • The ride will start, and end, in Mayer Arizona.
  • The event is AMA sanctioned however AMA membership is only encouraged, not required.
  • The event is open to street legal Dual Sport and Adventure motorcycles only. Knobby tires are recommended for all motorcycles.
  • The $55 Pre-Registration fee includes Lunch in Jerome Az, GPS Tracklogs, and Roll Chart.
  • Check-In is from 7am-9am with last rider out by 9am
  • There will be a Riders Meeting at 7:30am.

the Packages From Home “Hearts to Heroes” Tribute Ride to support our troops. Check-in begins near Luke Air Force Base at 8 am followed by a kickoff event including guest speakers and military exhibitions. Chandler Harley-Davidson’s 9th Annual Sunshine Acres Charity Ride 9th Annual Sunshine Acres Poker Run to Tortilla Flat is one of the best ride routes of Arizona Bike Week. This year the poker run will take you through the Superstition Mountains to Tortilla Flat before ending at San Tan Flat for food and entertainment. Pre-register at Chandler H-D starting March 1st and receive a free T-shirt with your donation. Day of ride registration 10am to noon at Chandler H-D. $25 entry fee includes a continental breakfast and lunch at San Tan Flat.

6th Annual Fire Fighters Poker Run
Presented by Superstition Harley-Davidson & United Mesa Fire Fighters
All proceeds benefit East Valley Firefighter Charities. This year’s event kicks off at Superstition Harley-Davidson in Apache Junction at 8:00 am on Friday, April 3rd, 2009 with a huge “Three-Alarm” pancake breakfast. Pre-registration is $30/rider and $20/passenger which includes an event t-shirt and commemorative ride pin for the first 500 people registered. "Logan's Run" Logan's Valley Motorcycles Charity Poker Ride
The Final ride of Arizona Bike Week 2009! Always a favorite. Proceeds benefit the “Crusader for the Children” and their list of local children organizations. This leisurely unescorted 110 mile ride through the beautiful Sonoran Desert begins and ends at ABW Cyclefest at WestWorld followed by an afternoon of rowdy entertainment with local favorite Mogollon, 3-6pm in the HandleBar Saloon.
